Peasants in the spotlight

China-related blogs have done a good job of reporting on the bestselling "China's Peasants: A Study" by Chen Guidi and Wu Chuntao. The book has caused a stir with its unforgiving descriptions of the hardships that China's billion strong peasant population faces.
