P.K.14 silent movie music video

P.K.14 is a Beijing-based art punk band that was originally formed in Nanjing in 1997. They moved to Beijing in 2002. This year they were nominated for 'Best Rock Band' and, suprisingly, 'Best Band' at the upcoming 6th annual Chinese Music Media Awards (第六屆華語音樂傳媒大賞).

The music video below was inspired by early 20th Century silent films and completed in late September 2005 by New Zealand filmmaker David Harris. The song "Tamen" (他们 -- Them) is taken from last year's album 白皮书 (White Paper). The costumes and props were supplied by the PLA run Bayi Film Studios.

P.K.14 will play their first Beijing show of the year on Saturday August 5 at D-22. They also play at Tango) on Wednesday August 16 with Re-TROS and Sound Fragment (声音碎片).
